This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi! I’m Candace, an NYC-based calligrapher and creative specializing in beginner-friendly, experience- based workshops. I discovered calligraphy in 2020, and what started as a personal creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for creating meaningful, lasting pieces.After attending my first Sip & Script class in 2022, I set a goal to one day become an instructor-and in 2026, that vision became a reality. I’m excited to announce that I am officially part of the Sip & Script squad! My mission is to inspire others to explore their creativity, take risks, and follow their dreams.
