Why teach with us

Focus on the craft.
We'll handle the rest.

Three reasons experienced calligraphers move their teaching practice onto our platform.

01
Operations Team

Every email, handled

Refunds, reschedules, "where do I park?" questions, all routed away from you. Our customer service team replies to guests within hours so you only ever show up to teach.

02
The Marketing Team

We run the machine, you run the room

Paid advertising, email campaigns, social content: our marketing team runs the engine that puts your workshop in front of new students every week. You focus on venue relations and the word of mouth that only happens locally.

03
THE BRAND BEHIND YOU

A name customers already trust

Sip & Script has taught over 200,000 students nationwide. New instructors regularly tell us their first class with us fills faster than anything they ever booked solo.

04
REAL INCOME, YOUR SCHEDULE

A side hustle that fits your life

Our instructors earn an average of $1,800 a month. Some make $300, others make $6,500, all on the schedule that fits their real lives. Majority work full-time and teach as a creative outlet that pays.

From the Script Squad

Teaching with Sip & Script is the perfect blend of my passion for calligraphy and for helping, teaching & inspiring others. Beyond the classes themselves, Sip & Script has an amazing community of talented calligraphers who support, encourage and uplift each other. I’m so grateful to have found this job that doesn’t feel like a job at all!

Who Thrives Here

Skill matters.
Personality matters more.

We're selective about who we bring on. Not because we're looking for the world's best calligraphers, but because we're looking for the right kind of teachers.

  • You're a self-starter with the hustle to make it your own. We don't have to chase you to teach; you bring the energy.
  • You can hold a room. The best instructors run a warm, easy class as well as they letter.
  • You're dependable. Booked classes, on-time arrivals, prepared materials. Trust is built one workshop at a time.
  • You want a creative outlet that pays, not another full-time business to manage.
  • You like teams. Our instructors share lesson notes, refer client work, and show up for each other.

You need the skill, the energy, and the desire to lead a room of strangers who'll leave as friends.

THE COMMUNITY DIFFERENCE

You're never the only one in the room.

Calligraphy is usually a solo craft. Teaching with Sip & Script is the opposite. Our instructors trade lesson notes in a private Slack, swap client referrals when they're booked solid, share pep talks before tough classes, and show up to our annual retreat ready to actually have fun together.

Beyond that, we host regular meetups and team bonding events across the country, so the people you teach alongside aren't strangers on a Slack channel, they're people you've actually met. The team behind the platform is real, present, and reachable by Slack, by email, by phone, every day you teach.

It's a shift from working alone to being part of something bigger.

FAQ

Common questions

The questions experienced calligraphers ask us most often.

How does revenue work? +
We share details on the discovery call. The short version: you're paid per class, the model is competitive, and there's no platform fee.
Do I need my own venue? +
No, and don't let that stop you! Our training walks you through exactly how to source and connect with venues, so you won't be figuring it out on your own. Instructors who go through our program typically find that with the right approach, building a strong roster of venue partnerships comes naturally. We also receive incoming inquiries and bookings on a regular basis and pass those leads along to our instructors, so there are opportunities that can come your way even as you're just getting started.
How much teaching is expected? +
It depends on your market and your bandwidth. Most instructors teach 2-5 classes per month. We design schedules around your life, not the other way around.
Can I teach my own curriculum? +
Our classes follow a Sip & Script lesson plan so the experience is consistent for guests. You bring the personality and pacing, the structure is shared.
Who owns the client relationship? +
Sip & Script does. Guests book through our platform under our brand. You're the face of the class, the brand handles the funnel.
