About Sip & Script

Our Team

We’re a women-led team obsessed with customer experience, good company, and making creativity accessible to everyone — one Sip & Script® at a time.

Meg Chaloner
Founder

Meg Chaloner

Founder & Co-CEO

A calligrapher for 13 years, Meg brings both a creative eye and a strategic mind to Sip & Script, leading the brand's marketing and advertising while diving deep into all things design. Before joining Sip & Script full time, she grew wedding calligraphy clientele while working as an occupational therapist in Boston. Proof that a passion project can become so much more.

She lives on the NH Seacoast in Portsmouth with her husband, toddler, and baby, where you'll find her soaking up beach days, sneaking off to Maine with family, or tackling her next DIY project on their 120-year-old home. When it comes to making things beautiful — whether it's a brand, a home, or a gathering — she's completely in her element.

Julie Mancini
Founder

Julie Mancini

Founder & Co-CEO

With a background in Print and Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Julie brings creativity, organization, and a get-it-done mentality to Sip & Script. As co-founder and a fellow calligrapher of 14 years, she focuses on the company's operations, instructor community, and overall growth, helping turn creative ideas into a business that now spans the country. Proof that what starts as a small side project can sometimes grow into something much bigger.

She lives outside Boston with her husband, two teenagers and their pit bull mix, Jordyn, where you'll find her watching tennis in the background of her office, at the dog park, cheering on her kids at their games, or giving back through her volunteer work with the Waltham Boys & Girls Club. When it comes to building connections and creating meaningful experiences, she's completely in her element.

Jessica Glazier Goldenberg
Marketing

Jessica Glazier Goldenberg

Operations Manager

Jess holds a special place in the Sip & Script story: she was our very first instructor back in 2017, and she's been helping shape what this community looks like ever since. She came to us already running her own calligraphy and lettering business, Canvas & Kale, balancing wedding clients with teaching. Over the years has worn more hats than we can count, playing a key role in building and refining the instructor training program that so many of our instructors have gone through today.

Since going full time with Sip & Script in 2020, Jess has planted her flag on the marketing team, leading our email marketing and content and social strategy with the same care and creativity she brings to everything she touches. When she's not crafting the perfect campaign, she's home in CT with her husband, toddler, and new baby, living her best vegan life, creating content, or curled up with Fourth Wing on her Kindle.

Wendy Bauman

Head of Client Services

Some things are just meant to be and Wendy is proof of that. She first came onto our radar in 2021 when she emailed us as a virtual assistant on behalf of a client, and it was her email signature that stopped us in our tracks. One phone call later, it was clear she was exactly who we'd been looking for, and we haven't looked back since.

What started as a helping hand with customer service has grown into so much more. Wendy has taken on more and more over the years, becoming an irreplaceable part of the Sip & Script family and the warm, steady presence that both our customers and our instructors rely on, and absolutely adore. No matter what comes her way, she handles it with grace, kindness, and a smile you can feel through the screen.

When she's not online, Wendy is home in NJ with her family, cheering on the Phillies, hunting down the nearest beach, or settling in with a good book and a Blue Moon, or something fun and fruity. We honestly don't know what we'd do without her.

Ashley Tarango
instructor onboarding

Ashley Tarango

Client Services and Instructor Onboarding

Ashley is a Texas calligrapher who started her business in 2017 after she started staying at home with her 2 young children. Looking for something to fill the time between naps and play dates, Lonestar Letter was born. While wedding calligraphy started her career, she now focuses on live event calligraphy and engraving.

Ashley started teaching with Sip & Script in 2020 and has had the opportunity to teach well over 1,000 students the art of modern calligraphy in the North Texas area! When she's not teaching with Sip & Script she works behind the scenes helping our students with their questions or onboarding our newest instructors so they can start their teaching journey.

Client Services

If there's a gap to fill or a teammate who needs backup, Jess is already on it without being asked. She joined the Sip & Script family through the instructor side, teaching classes in Dallas, TX for years, which means she brings a rare boots-on-the-ground perspective to everything she does behind the scenes. She's as much a resource as she is a right hand, and the whole team feels it.

Beyond being endlessly reliable, Jess is simply the kind of person who makes everything more fun. She's our resident hype girl and our retreat craft queen, the one who shows up to every team gathering with a hand-DIYed gift for each person and the first to say yes to a good time. Kind-hearted to her core, she's the energy every team needs and is lucky to have.

When she's not supporting the team or teaching, you'll find her somewhere new in the world, deep in a book, planning the next girls' night out, or at home in Dallas with her pup, ready for whatever adventure comes next.

Abby Weisman
recruitment

Abby Weisman

Growth & Recruitment

Abby came to Sip & Script two years ago as an instructor and has since become one of the most valuable behind-the-scenes forces on our team. She now leads our Letter League program, guiding new calligraphers through months of learning with the kind of encouragement, patience, and expertise that only someone who truly loves the craft can offer.

On the recruiting side, Abby is the first face every prospective instructor meets, walking candidates through our interview and training process with warmth and precision. Her organizational skills and sharp eye for detail have been a game changer, and her work fine-tuning our training program this past year has made a real and lasting impact on how we welcome new instructors into the fold.

When she's not shaping the next generation of Sip & Script instructors, Abby is home in Jacksonville, FL with her husband and two little ones, baking up something delicious, or picking up a pen to letter just for the love of it. Creative to her core, we are so grateful to have her on the team.
