Sip & Script Privacy Policy, Effective June 2026
At Sip & Script, we want booking a class to be simple and your information to be handled with care. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit sipandscript.com, book a class, buy a gift card or join our email list, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a class, buy a gift card, create an account or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the names of attendees or gift recipients you provide. When you sign up for emails or downloads, or send us a message or inquiry, we collect the information you enter in the form.
Payment information. Payments are handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our partners automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages and classes you view, the website or ad that brought you to us, and actions such as adding tickets to your cart, starting checkout or completing a purchase. We use your approximate location, based on your IP address, to show classes near you.
How we use your information
To process your bookings and orders, send tickets, confirmations and updates, and provide customer service.
To operate, secure and improve our website, and to prevent fraud.
To send you emails about classes and offers, if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To measure and improve our advertising, and to show you relevant ads on other websites and apps.
To comply with legal obligations.
Cookies, pixels and advertising
Like most online stores, we use cookies, pixels and similar technologies from our analytics and advertising partners, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). These help us understand how our website is used and how well our ads work, and help our partners show our ads to people who are likely to be interested in our classes.
When you take certain actions on our website, such as completing a purchase, starting a checkout, adding tickets to your cart or signing up for emails, we also share information about that action directly with these advertising partners, so they can tell whether it followed one of our ads. This can include your email address, phone number, name and general location, which are converted into a coded form (hashed) before they are sent, along with your IP address, browser information, the advertising identifiers on your device, and details such as the order value and classes purchased. We do not share your payment card details.
Our partners handle this information under their own privacy policies. You can learn more about how they use it, and adjust your ad preferences, in your Meta and Google ad settings.
How we share your information
Service providers who help us run our business, such as payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (SendGrid), email marketing (Klaviyo), analytics (Google), website delivery and security (Cloudflare) and hosting. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Instructors, who receive the attendee names and booking details they need to run your class.
Advertising partners, as described in "Cookies, pixels and advertising".
Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our customers, our business or others.
Business transfers, if Sip & Script, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws consider sharing information with advertising partners for targeted advertising to be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; you can opt out of this at any time, as described below.
Your choices
Advertising. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link at the bottom of any page to opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal sent by some browsers. You can also adjust ad settings in your Meta, Google accounts, limit cookies in your browser settings, and learn more at aboutads.info/choices.
Emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us. We will still send emails about your bookings and orders.
Your account. You can review and update your account details at any time [in your account settings or] by contacting us.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you and to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its use for targeted advertising, sale or profiling. To make a request, email contact@sipandscript.com[ or use our request form]. We will confirm your identity before responding, and respond within the time required by law. If we are unable to fulfill your request, you can appeal by replying to our response. We will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
How long we keep information
We keep booking and account information for as long as needed to provide our services, support you, and meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. Records of information sent to our advertising partners are kept for up to 30 days after they are sent.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limited access to personal information. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
Children
Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 [or 16]. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
Sip & Script is based in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
