Hello, I’m Layla! I live in Jacksonville, FL, but I’m originally from Washington state. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in music, and after graduating I worked in clinical research and academia. I’m a science‑and‑art blend at heart. Outside of calligraphy, I love traveling and have visited over a dozen countries (and counting!).

I took my first Sip & Script class in 2023, and that’s when I first picked up calligraphy. It quickly became something I genuinely love, especially teaching and helping people build confidence with each stroke. I’m excited to share this craft and its calming, expressive nature with everyone.
