Hi! I’m Megan and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’m trained as a neuroscientist and am an adjunct professor by day. I have been brushlettering since 2020, when I got the book of Hand Lettering for Relaxation by Amy Latta. I am amazed at how much neuroplasticity occurs through handwriting and learning new things. This inspired me to eventually start my instagram @handletteringandselfbettering which combines a bookstagram account with handlettering and modern calligraphy. In July 2025, I decided I wanted to try calligraphy with a pointed pen, and took my first Sip and Script class. Since then, I’ve been improving my calligraphy craft. I can’t wait to share my love of calligraphy with the Twin Cities area!
