I grew up in a small town squeezed between Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island. Both my parents are artists and they encouraged me to create my own art. For as long as I can remember I always felt compelled to create. For a time I was interested in fashion design then I found my love for story telling which lead me to illustrating as I visually brought my children stories to life. When I found calligraphy it connected my writing and illustrating worlds together in a way that was so unexpected. So, naturally, I became obsessed with calligraphy and I incorporate it into everything that I do. I enjoy knitting and I recently discovered needlepointing, which is a lot of fun. When I am not being creative, you can find me reading a book or exploring my new home in Michigan or chasing after my calico kitty, who in turn is chasing butterflies.
