Good to Know

This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

Love Letters By Amanda Calligraphy

Amanda is skilled in many hand lettering scripts, including Copperplate, Spencerian, Engrosser's Script, Modern Calligraphy, Foundational, Uncial, Gothicized Italic and Blackletter. She is a member of IAMPETH (the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting), the Society of Scribes, and is ACICP Certified to teach American Cursive to children and adults.

Amanda lives in New York City and is sought after for hand lettered wedding invitations, envelopes, monograms, logo design, place cards, chalkboards, book inscriptions, engraving work, framed quotes, custom cards, menus, live corporate and private events, antique restorations, etc.
She has previously taught classes at the annual IAMPETH Conference, the Highland City Club, the Museum of Boulder, the High Plains Libraries, Erie Community Center, City of Boulder's Older Adult Services Program, at dozens of public and private venues, and remotely worldwide.

Interestingly, Amanda is also a Certified Sommelier with over a decade of experience working in fine dining and luxury events in NYC.
