Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

Your Instructor

Anna White is the owner and creator of Ella Ink, a Durham-based calligraphy studio specializing in Copperplate and modern calligraphy for your celebrations and special events. Ever since childhood, Anna has loved art and always enjoyed experimenting with different mediums. It was during her first calligraphy class in 2015, when she realized that pen and ink were her favorite. In 2020, she began dedicating much of her free time to learning the art of calligraphy and it took off from there.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a calligrapher is seeing the joy that calligraphy brings her clients and their guests.  She is honored to share her calligraphy knowledge and passion with others, helping them to start a calligraphy journey of their own.

When not behind the pen, she is spending time with her family, exercising, gardening, trying new restaurants, and working as a primary care physician assistant.

You can follow her work at @ellainkcalligraphy, www.ellaink.com, and learn from her at one of our upcoming Sip & Script® events!
