With a love for writing, drawing, dancing, and music since childhood, Elyse has always had a passion for the arts.
She earned her BS in Marketing from Bradley University in 2014 and spent nearly eight years in client services across various industries. In 2018, while still working full-time, a friend asked her to address wedding invitation envelopes, and that's when her calligraphy journey began. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a side business, Letter & Lyse, which she now runs full-time.
Today, Elyse lives in La Grange, IL with her husband and two sons, and runs Letter & Lyse from her home studio. She specializes in live event calligraphy & engraving, wedding day-of signage, and in-studio commissions, creating personalized details designed to enhance presence, create connection and unforgettable guest experiences. She has served weddings, brands, and thoughtful gifters throughout Chicagoland and beyond.
When she’s not creating, Elyse loves any form of movement, live music, exploring local restaurants and coffee shops, and traveling. Most often, you’ll find her at home with her boys, enjoying a good movie, book, or podcast, or spending time with family, friends, and her husband, J.
