This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.


PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hello there!  I’m Jill, and I’ve been in love with calligraphy and hand lettering since 2017.  I discovered this art form after my second child was born and I was searching for a creative outlet and some much-needed “me time.”  Sip & Script heeded that call!  In 2018, I took my very first S&S class and it was like a whole magical world was unlocked for me!  Nibs and pens and sparkly ink, oh my!  I had found it – that creative niche that makes my heart happy every time I pick up a pen.  And I’m so excited to share that joy with you in class!  I can’t wait to meet you at an upcoming Sip & Script® event! I’m based in central New Hampshire, where I’ve lived since 2020. At one point or another, I’ve also called Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey home.  I work full time, I’m married, I have two kids (ages 11 and 7), a cat, and a dog.  When I’m not playing with pens and ink, you can find me crocheting and cross stitching!  Check out my IG to see what I’ve been working on:  the_salty_flamingo
