This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hello! My name is Raquel, I am the face behind RDcalligraphy I'm based in Kirkland WA. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always really appreciated the elegance and beauty of nice penmanship. Many years later, my love of letters naturally pushed me towards calligraphy as a hobby, then a side gig. Being self-taught really humbled me and I began taking classes to elevate my calligraphy and my business. I have since been able to apply this talent to glass, metal, and leather through engraving, foiling and bottle painting. These skills have allowed me to provide luxury companies like Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Dior, Jo Malone, Dyptique, Glossier and more, with onsite live calligraphy and engraving services! I look forward to seeing you in class!
