This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi, I’m Julia! I’m based out of Salt Lake City, Utah and specialize in custom hand lettered and calligraphed pieces. I was introduced to calligraphy by my mother when I was in high school and fell in love with the art of calligraphy. Some of my favorite projects have been addressing wedding envelopes, wedding signage, and creating place cards. In my free time, I love hiking with my cocker spaniel in the beautiful Utah mountains. Calligraphy has given me an outlet to express myself in a creative way through words and art. I would love to see you in my class and help you start your own calligraphy journey!
