This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi y’all! I’m Ashley, owner and creator of Lonestar Letter, specializing in live event calligraphy, engraving and in-person events. I started my calligraphy business back in the summer of 2017, but my love for calligraphy and handwriting goes all the way back to my childhood! There is something so special about getting to create something with your hands and I love getting to teach others how to make something they can be proud of. When I’m not lettering on all the things, you can find me running around with my two littles, enjoying a quiet movie and wine night with my husband, or drinking way too much coffee and listening to true crime podcasts. I can’t wait to see you in class!
